Are you ready to make a hand made leather journal with a beautiful silver clasp?

Join Art Clay Master Instructor Pam East and master book binder Dea Sosa this unique class. You will spend half of the week in one studio creating small books from scratch and the other half crafting a silver clay clasp and small embellishments. Then everyone comes together at the end to put it all together! Use paper, board, and leather for your soon-to-be-bound book and silver clay for your clasp and décor. By spending time in two studios, you will learn both processes and merge your creations into final projects.

No experience is required for this unique week of creativity.

Use silver metal clay to create a delightful pendant with a tiny scene inside. Innovative silver clay contains pure metal powder mixed with an organic binder, allowing you to work it like clay. When fired, the binders burn away leaving pure fine silver. We'll cover clay handling, texturing, molding, box construction, firing, patina, and polishing.
