In order to become a Senior certified instructor, you must have successfully completed the Level One Certification course. This course is designed to provide advanced knowledge of Art Clay and prepare you to teach certification courses. The curriculum consists of seven different projects and covers a wide variety of techniques. Some of the techniques include creating a perfect mirror finish, making a box with a fitted lid, bezel stone setting, carving techniques, and much more.

Upon successful completion of this course, you are entitled to:

  1. 42% discount on Art Clay Silver Series products
  2. Teach Art Clay Introductory and Specialty classes
  3. Teach Certification Courses

Although this course is often taught as a four day class, I feel students learn the material better over a four day class. Also, I limit the class size to just two to ensure I can give each student ample one-on-one attention.

I will provide all the tools and equipment necessary for the projects. The registration fee includes the use of tools, equipment as well as a kit of consumable materials such as Art Clay Silver. The fee also includes an intruction book that will be yours to keep.

Please review the cancellation policy before registering for a class.

Students should bring the following items:

  • Fine paint brushes. Brushes may be found at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, JoAnn’s or Dick Blicks. Expect to pay between $3 to $5 per brush for good brushes. (Unless you catch a sale!) Look for brushes with Golden Taklon bristles (synthetic yellow). The following shapes and sizes are good choices.
    • Round (bristle length approx 1/2”) #10/0, #0, #1
    • Flat sizes #2, #4
  • Magnifying Visor.
  • assorted needle files
  • greenware carving tools (wax carvers are good, files, sanding swabs)

  • flush cutter
  • jewelers flat hand file (I use Swiss cuts #2 & #4)
  • jewelry pliers
  • Pencil/pens
