Adventures of Flerg: Chapter 1

The Adventures of Flerg began as a series of doodles when I was in high school.  Later Flerg became a way to keep my daughter entertained on long trips.  He didn't emerge as a jewerly theme until 2007.  The "Chapter 1" in the title of this piece is a reference to my hopes that this will be just the first in a series.  He had many adventures while entertaining my daughter. It would be great fun to see some of those adventures illustrated in enamel!

Between the cloisonne enameling in the pendant, and making the setting and bail, this piece represents about 80 hours of work.  It was fired in excess of 30 times. (I lost exact count somewhere along the way)  It is not for sale.
