Art Clay® Copper is pure metal powder mixed with an organic binder that allows you to work it like clay. It can be molded, sculpted, rolled, textured and more. When fired, the binders burn away, leaving pure copper metal. Learn how to make copper jewelry pieces using this innovative product, and then discover how to apply color using enameling techniques. All levels welcome - no experience required.

Day two we will enamel the pieces. Topics include metal and enamel preparation, applying wet enamels, Enamel firing, dealing with fire scale, graduated shading techniques, and finishing.

            Learn the basics of copper clay handling and firing with Art Clay  Master instructor Pam East.  

            This is a great class for both those who have never used metal clay, and beginners looking to improve their skills.  

            Class fee includes 50 grams of Art Clay Copper and the use of all Pam's tools and equipment.  Students do not need to bring anything.

                Enameling on Art Clay Silver

                Join Art Clay World USA Master Instructor, Pam East, for a three day workshop on Enameling on Art Clay Silver.  This course will cover a wide variety of both metal clay and enameling topics.  

                The first day of class will be devoted to Silver Clay.   Topics will include designing for enamel, construction techniques, firing schedules and preparing the metal for enamels. 

                The second and third days will cover enameling and finishing.  Topics will include preparing enamels for use, firing, color shading, working with reactive colors, use of foils in enameling and finishing techniques.  

                Over the course of the three days, each student will be able to make two complete pieces, from beginning to end, using two different techniques.   

                Class fee includes 50 grams Art Clay Silver, ACS Syringe and Paste, enamels, plus the use of all necessary tools and equipment. 

                The following items are not included but may be purchased in class. Students may also choose to bring these items.
