Please join us in Pam East's Studio for a truly unique opportunity! Internationally reknown British artist, Carol Douglas will be visiting to teach a two day workshop in sculpting creature and character faces in copper clay.
Myth, legend and spirit come together as you create your own creatures and characters in our two day workshop. Concepts will include the development and creation of a believable creature/character, creating a mood, character building, and finding your own story. Through this process you will also learn how to prepare Art Clay Copper for sculpting, ways of producing different effects and characteristics, refining pieces, firing techniques and kiln management, as well as finishing and patinas.
This is an exciting and dynamic hands-on class! As well as learning how to handle and fire Art Clay Copper, you will be gaining a powerful new skill set that can also be applied to bronze and silver. All materials, including Art Clay Copper, are included in the course fee. You will have full use of all the necessary tools and equipment in class. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity!
